Ignatian Spirituality Course

ISC logoI have worked on this course since 1995, becoming the Director of the Second Year. I now work on the Third Year team.

From the brochure

"This course introduces people to the richness of the spirituality of Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556). Ignatius was a pioneer in his commitment to the spiritual life. His reflection upon his relationship with God and documentation of his understanding has transmitted to us great wisdom in The Art of Spiritual Direction and the discernment of spirits in our life in God. This wisdom takes clear and compelling form in his Spiritual Exercises.

Pablo Picasso's painting of Don Quixote & Sancho.
Paul Edwards sj (RIP) thought Ignatius like Quixote.

"The aim of the course is to form participants in The Art of Spiritual Direction and in the giving of the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola in their various forms. It is an ecumenical Christian course and is open to people of goodwill from all traditions. The course is led by an experienced staff of lay people, religious and clergy, and runs for one day a week over three years."
